I struggle to remember a time I felt more alone than when a former partner and bff drunkenly ranted about their refusal to respect pronoun preferences that differed from their own assumptions about that person. No wonder so many people who come out in Columbia leave not too much longer afterward. Even your so-called allies won’t inconvenience themselves to respect folks in the margins.
Go figure they didn’t really understand consent so well, either.
Step back; slow down; and develop some empathy and respect to glob-blam dweebs.
